HONESTY
One day, while a wood cutter was cutting a branch of a tree above a
river, his iron axe fell into the river.
When he began crying, Water GOD appeared and asked him, "Why are you
crying?" The wood cutter told that his axe has fallen into water.
GOD went down into the water and came up with a golden axe. "Is this
your axe?", GOD asked. The wood cutter said "No".
GOD again went down and came up with a silver axe. "Is this your axe?",
GOD asked. The wood cutter said "No".
GOD went down again and came up with the iron axe. "Is this your axe?",
GOD asked. The wood cutter said "Yes".
The GOD was pleased with the woodcutter's honesty and gave him all
the three axes. The woodcutter lived happily ever after.
Similar thing happened to our friend recently.
One day, while he was walking with his wife near a river, his wife
fell into the river.
When he began crying, Water GOD appeared and asked him, "Why are
you crying?" He told that his wife has fallen into water.
GOD went down into the water and came up with Aishwarya Rai. "Is
this your wife?", GOD asked. Suddenly our friend said, "Yes".
GOD was furious. "You cheat !!! ", GOD scolded. "Honesty has lost
today. I will curse you ..." Immediately our friend said," Forgive
me my lord. It was your mistake.
If suppose I say "No" to Aishwarya Rai, you will come up with Sonali
Bendre.
If I say "No" to Sonali also, you will finally come up with my wife.
If then I say "Yes", you will give all the three to me. I am very
poor man. I will not be able to look after all the three. So I said
"Yes".
